Visit
 An
important part of effective dentistry is making sure that
patients are able to communicate the history of their teeth
to the doctor. Effective diagnosis and care is much easier
to achieve from the patients perspective. Dr. Winter believes
in building a solid foundation on which to build a partnership
to reach the mutual goals of a healthy mouth and a pleasing
smile- a smile that reflects the person you are.
Our commitment is to provide you with
extraordinary customer service. Upon arriving for your appointment,
you will be greeted and given a tour of the office. Sara,
the patient coordinator will meet with you to discuss your
medical and dental history. This is a very important component
to your overall health and wellness. Sara will then ask you
how we can meet your needs and wants. Next, Sara will introduce
you to Dr. Winter. Dr. Winter will do a comprehensive exam
which includes: reviewing the information that you shared
with Sara and clarify any questions that she may have, examine
each tooth and surrounding gum tissue, feel your jaw joints
and chewing muscles for pain or tenderness; listen for noise
during jaw movement; check for limitations or locking of your
jaw while opening or closing your mouth, and an oral cancer
screening. If x-rays are needed they will be taken at this
time. This thoroughness enables Dr. Winter to locate the problem,
make a diagnosis, and create a treatment plan to relieve occlusal
irregularities. Sara will then take the information that she
and Dr. Winter accumulated. Sara will contact you by phone
to set up a free consultation with she and Dr. Winter. This
consultation appointment gives you the opportunity to meet
one on one with Dr. Winter and to discuss your optimal treatment
plan. By working through this process, dentistry then becomes
a partnership, one that you and Dr. Winter design specially
to meet your needs.
