Linda L. Winter,
DMD, FAGD
My passion for helping others enjoy
better health has lead me to expand my interest in cosmetic
dentistry. Winter Park Dentistry is the concept of bringing
the best people together to serve you, creating a distinctive
facility with a relaxed atmosphere of caring and serving,
and performing exceptional dentistry. This gives you
the opportunity to experience the best Wichita has to
offer.
I enjoy serving the dental desires
of people who are interested in themselves and their
health. It's thrilling for me to provide the education
and the means for people to achieve what they want,
whether it be an improvement in their smile, a better
feel and fit of their teeth, or improvement in their
self-confidence. I feel a sense of accomplishment when
people experience how great their mouths feel when they
take responsibility for their oral health.
My educational path took me
from Wichita South High School to a dual degree in Biological
Science and Modern Languages with honors at Kansas State
University in 1973. While on an exchange program at
a German university studying marine biology, I realized
I could best serve others through dentistry. So I studied
at Washington University School of Dental Medicine in
St. Louis where I received my DMD degree in 1976. From
there I moved to St. Paul/Minneapolis with my husband,
Paul. There I enjoyed two part-time practices and teaching
at the University of Minnesota's School of Dentistry.
My desire to teach continued when I returned to Wichita
and I taught the science of dental materials at WSU's
school of dental hygiene. In 1985 I became a Fellow
if the Academy of General Dentistry- the FAGD initials
that you may have noticed following my name. That degree
recognized my commitment to continuing my dental education.
It's earned by completing 500 hours of dental continuing
education, taking an extensive exam, and being an AGD
member for some time. I 'm currently working on the
next level of Mastership involving participation (hands-on)
courses and in working toward attaining my Fellowship
in the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
